For those of you who have followed the distillery on facebook, this is old news. For those who have not, then enjoy:

October 2009 was essentially the conception of Immortal Spirits & Distilling Company.

Months of jumping the bureaucratic hoops for federal, state, and city licensing were to follow.

Hour upon hours of FABRICATION for the equipment, set up and testing...

Still #01 was created over 5 days of constant hammering and welding. A jacketed, electrically heated pot-still standing about 5 feet high was born. 01 is the test still for recipe development, and nano-batches of specialty liquors. Go check out the video of 01's creation...

Still #02 was designed to behave like 01, just 12 times bigger. A 180 gallon outer tank provides indirect heating to the 88 gallon inner tank. A six foot tall column of copper onions plugs into the tanks. On the stand, 02 sits over 12 feet high and will make over 15 gallons of product in a day...thats a KEG, but of liquor. 02 will be the workhorse of Immortal Spirits, running double distillations of whiskey, absinthe, and rum for bottling and cask aging.
